CRISIS
This 1953 committee will explore the paranoia and power struggles of Soviet Russia. Taking on the roles of the members of Stalins Inner Circle, we will delve into the complicated and controversial doctors plot. The real threat however is not external, but internal. The characters will form alliances, betray each other and do everything they can to gain power within the dangerous Soviet political world. No one can be trusted and everyone is a potential enemy that might report you to the KGB, claiming you're a western spy. It's a dangerous power struggle that requires charisma, planning and above all deception.
GREETINGS FROM THE CRISIS DIRECTOR
Urszula Jachimowicz
Hi fellow comrades! I'm Urszula and I'm in my last year of modern languages and translation at the UoN. I have been been participating in MUNs for a almost nine years now and absolutely love crisis. This is my second, and sadly final, LSEMUN and I am beyond excited to be doing this topic! I'm a huge russian history buff and sincerely hope to share this passion with all of you and to go back to the Soviet times full of paranoia, intrigue and suspension.
When I'm not participating in MUN or reading Pushkin, you can find me sipping chai lattes and overpriced cafes.
